What are email marketing services?
Email marketing services plan, build and run the emails a business sends to people who opted in: welcome series, newsletters, offers, abandoned-cart reminders and nurture sequences. The work covers strategy, list growth, copy, design, automation, deliverability and reporting. Digital Magma provides email marketing services from Noida, India, for businesses worldwide, on the platform that fits them.
Explained
Email marketing services explained: campaigns, automations and the list you own
Email marketing services split into two kinds of sending. A campaign is a one-off send you schedule: a monthly newsletter, a Diwali or Black Friday sale, a webinar invite. An automation (also called a flow or a drip campaign) is a series that starts by itself when someone does something, such as signing up, leaving a cart or going quiet for 90 days.
Plenty of businesses have the first and not the second. The steady revenue usually comes from flows, because they reach each person at the moment they are paying attention.
Then there is ownership. Rankings can drop after algorithm updates and social reach shifts when a platform decides. A list of people who asked to hear from you stays yours, on whichever email service provider (ESP) you choose.
Self-check
Email marketing services: who needs them, and 6 signs it is time
Email marketing services pay off fastest for businesses that already have traffic or customers but lose them after the first visit. If two or more of these signs sound familiar, the fix is usually quicker than you expect.
Emails land in spam or Promotions
Customers say “I never got it”. Often the sending domain has no DMARC record, or the From address does not match the domain that signs the mail. See deliverability.
The list barely grows
One “subscribe to our newsletter” box in the footer, with no reason to join. A useful lead magnet on the right pages can change that within weeks.
No welcome or abandoned-cart flow
New subscribers hear nothing for a month. People who leave a full cart never get a reminder. These two flows are where most programmes should start.
One blast to everyone
Buyers, browsers and people who joined three years ago all get the same email. Unsubscribes rise and clicks fall.
Leads go cold after one call
A B2B enquiry that does not buy on the first call gets no follow-up. A short nurture sequence keeps you in the room until they are ready.
“Open rate” is the only number in reports
Since Apple Mail Privacy Protection, opens overstate how many people read your emails. If nobody reports clicks and revenue, nobody knows what email earns.
Who email marketing suits best
Ecommerce and D2C brands with repeat buyers, SaaS and app companies, B2B firms with long sales cycles, course providers, clinics, travel and visa services, and local businesses with regulars. Email marketing services for small business work too: a welcome flow and one newsletter a month is a realistic start for a team of two.

Flow library
Email automation services: the flows every business should run
Email automation services start with flows because a flow keeps working after launch, without anyone pressing send. The table follows Digital Magma's default build order, and the email counts are our starting templates, not industry statistics.
| Flow | Trigger | Our starting length | Goal | Who needs it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome series | New sign-up | 3–5 emails over 1–2 weeks | Deliver the lead magnet, explain the brand, first purchase or reply | Everyone |
| Lead nurture | Form, quote or demo request | 4–6 emails over 3–6 weeks | Answer objections, share proof, book the next call | B2B, services, education |
| Abandoned cart email | Cart left without checkout | 2–3 emails within 3 days | Recover the order | Ecommerce |
| Browse abandonment | Product viewed, no cart | 1–2 emails | Bring the shopper back to that product | Ecommerce with enough traffic |
| Post-purchase flow | Order placed | 2–4 emails | Set expectations, show how to use it, cross-sell later | Ecommerce, D2C |
| Review request | Delivery or service completed | 1–2 emails | Honest reviews on Google or product pages | Local, ecommerce, clinics |
| Replenishment or renewal | Time since purchase or plan end date | 1–3 emails | Reorder or renew before the customer runs out | Consumables, SaaS, subscriptions |
| Win-back campaign | No purchase or click for a set period | 2–3 emails | Bring a lapsed customer back with a reason to return | Anyone with repeat buyers |
| Sunset flow | No engagement after win-back | 1 email | Ask if they still want email, then remove them | Everyone (protects sender reputation) |
Ecommerce: welcome, cart, browse, post-purchase, win-back, with store data feeding the dynamic content (see ecommerce marketing). B2B and SaaS: welcome, lead nurture, onboarding, renewals, where sales handover rules matter more than design (see SaaS marketing). Either way, build flows before adding campaigns: a newsletter reaches people once, a welcome flow greets every new subscriber on day one.
Process
Email marketing process at Digital Magma: 6 steps
Email marketing at Digital Magma follows the same six steps for every client, whether you send one newsletter a month or run a large online store. Authentication always comes before the first campaign.
Audit
Platform, list sources and health, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, past campaigns and current automations. You get a written audit report.
Strategy
Goals, segments, the flows to build first and a 90-day sending calendar, agreed with you in one call.
Foundations
DNS records fixed, sign-up forms and lead magnets live, templates designed and tested across mail apps.
Automations
Welcome, nurture, cart and post-purchase flows built, tested with real addresses and switched on.
Campaigns
Newsletters and offers written, designed, checked on mobile and in dark mode, approved by you, then sent.
Report and improve
Monthly report on clicks, leads and revenue, then next month’s A/B tests and fixes.
Every month
Email marketing deliverables every month, and the tools we use
Email marketing management from Digital Magma leaves a visible record of work each month, so you can see what the fee paid for. The exact count of campaigns and flows is set in your written scope.
- Campaigns: written, designed, tested and sent on the agreed calendar
- Flows: new ones built, live ones checked for broken links and stale offers
- List care: bounces, spam complaints and long-inactive contacts handled
- Testing: at least one A/B test, with the result written down
- Deliverability: authentication and spam-rate checks in Google Postmaster Tools
- Report and call: results against last month and a 30-minute review call
Delivered in the first month
An audit report, a list of DNS fixes (done or handed to your developer), a segment plan, wireframes for the first flows and a 90-day calendar.
What you own: the ESP account, the list and consent records, every template and flow, and all reporting. If we stop working together, nothing needs to be handed back.
Inbox placement
Email deliverability services: how Digital Magma gets you into the inbox
Email deliverability services make sure mailbox providers trust your messages enough to show them, and they come first in all Digital Magma email marketing services. We check the signals Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook publish, and every figure below comes from their own pages, checked in September 2026.
The terms, in plain English
- SPF: a DNS record listing the servers allowed to send mail for your domain
- DKIM: a digital signature on each email, which the receiver checks against a key in your DNS
- DMARC: a policy saying what to do when SPF or DKIM fails, and where to send reports
- Alignment: the domain in your From address matches the domain that passed SPF or DKIM
- One-click unsubscribe: a list-unsubscribe header that lets Gmail and Yahoo show an unsubscribe button
- Spam complaint rate: the share of delivered emails that people mark as spam
- Domain warm-up: raising volume slowly on a new domain or dedicated IP so providers learn to trust it
Sender reputation comes from all of these together. Perfect DNS cannot save a list people keep reporting.
Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook sender rules, side by side
| Rule | Gmail (Google) | Yahoo | Outlook.com (Microsoft) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who it applies to | All senders to personal Gmail accounts from 1 February 2024. Stricter rules for more than 5,000 messages a day. | All senders, with extra rules for bulk senders | Domains sending more than 5,000 emails a day to Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live addresses |
| Authentication | All: SPF or DKIM. 5,000+ a day: SPF and DKIM | All: SPF or DKIM. Bulk: SPF and DKIM | SPF must pass, DKIM must pass |
| DMARC | 5,000+ a day: required, policy can be none. From domain aligned with SPF or DKIM | Bulk: at least p=none, and DMARC must pass. Relaxed alignment is fine | At least p=none, aligned with SPF or DKIM (preferably both) |
| Unsubscribe | 5,000+ a day: one-click unsubscribe plus a visible link in the body. Google recommends acting on requests within 48 hours | Bulk: one-click list-unsubscribe (RFC 8058 POST highly recommended), visible link, honoured within 2 days | Recommended: a functional, clearly visible unsubscribe link |
| Spam rate | Below 0.3% in Postmaster Tools, ideally below 0.10% | Below 0.3% | Not published as a number |
| Other | Valid forward and reverse DNS (PTR), TLS, RFC 5322 formatting | Valid forward and reverse DNS, RFC 5321 and 5322 | Valid From or Reply-To address, list hygiene |
| If you fail | From November 2025, Gmail ramped up enforcement, including temporary and permanent rejections | Delivery problems, per Yahoo’s sender hub | From 5 May 2025, non-compliant mail can be rejected with “550 5.7.515 Access denied” |
Sources, checked September 2026: Google Workspace Admin Help, “Email sender guidelines” and its FAQ. Yahoo Sender Hub, “Sender Best Practices“. Microsoft Defender for Office 365 blog, “Outlook’s New Requirements for High-Volume Senders” (2 April 2025, updated 29 April 2025). Google notes these rules apply to personal Gmail accounts, not to mail sent into Google Workspace accounts.
What Digital Magma checks in every deliverability audit
- DNS records, and whether they align with the From domain
- Sending domain vs From domain (a common gap with ESP defaults)
- Where each segment came from, and whether consent was recorded
- Complaint rate in Postmaster Tools, bounce rate by segment
- Blocklist listings for your domain and IPs
- BIMI readiness, once DMARC is at quarantine or reject
The honest part
No one can guarantee inbox placement. Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft decide message by message and do not publish their full rules. Digital Magma controls the factors they do publish. When those are right and people want your emails, inbox placement tends to follow.
Warm-up in practice: on a new domain we start with your most engaged subscribers and raise daily volume in steps over several weeks, checking complaints and bounces before each step.
Platforms
Email marketing platforms: which one fits your business
Email marketing platforms (ESPs) differ most in the data they connect to, so the right one depends on where your customer data lives. Digital Magma works inside the client’s own platform, and we have no partnership with any of the vendors below.
| Platform | Often chosen by | Strength | Check before you choose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mailchimp | Small businesses, newsletters, first email programmes | Easy templates and simple automations | How the price changes as your contact count grows |
| Klaviyo | Ecommerce brands, especially on Shopify | Deep store data for product and behaviour-based flows | Cost at your list size, and whether you will use the ecommerce depth |
| Brevo | Cost-conscious SMBs wanting several channels | Email, SMS and WhatsApp in one account | What each plan includes |
| HubSpot | B2B teams that sell through a CRM | Email tied to contacts, deals and lead scoring | Total cost once CRM seats and marketing contacts are added |
| Zoho Campaigns | Businesses already on Zoho CRM, many Indian SMBs | Works with the rest of the Zoho suite | Integrations with your store or other tools |
Descriptions are general, based on how each vendor presents its product. Prices and plans change often, so check the vendor’s pricing page on the day you decide. We can also work in other platforms you already pay for.
ESP migration, done safely
Contacts move with their consent records and suppression lists. Flows, templates and segments are rebuilt, the new sending domain is warmed up, and both platforms run side by side until the new one is proven.
You keep the platform
The account is in your name and billed to you. Digital Magma’s email marketing services run through user access, so your list, flows and history stay put if you ever move on.
The expert part
Email marketing strategy: how Digital Magma plans emails that get clicked
Email marketing strategy at Digital Magma begins with the subscriber’s reason to stay, and only then with the calendar. Five decisions shape almost every programme we run.
1. List growth that brings buyers
A lead magnet should answer a question buyers ask before they buy: a routine quiz for a skincare brand, a template for a SaaS company, a document list by country for a visa consultant. Forms go where intent is highest, and double opt-in is used where quality matters more than speed.
A list only grows as fast as your traffic, which is why email sits next to SEO, PPC and social media at Digital Magma.
2. Segmentation that people can feel
Behaviour first (clicked, bought, browsed), then interest and lifecycle stage. Zero-party data, what people tell you on purpose through a preference centre or quiz, is often the most accurate. Three maintained segments beat twenty abandoned ones.
3. Copy and design that works on a phone
Subject line and preview text are written as one thought. One main call to action per email. Mobile-first templates, checked in dark mode, with alt text and a plain-text version.
4. Testing that measures something real
A/B testing changes one thing at a time and is judged on click-through rate or revenue, because opens are distorted (see KPIs). Small lists get fewer, bolder tests, since small differences on 800 recipients are mostly noise.
5. Sending cadence set by engagement
No ideal frequency fits every list, and we will not invent one. Engaged buyers can hear from you more often. People who have not clicked in months get fewer, better emails before the sunset flow.
Example: one subscriber’s first two weeks
Illustrative welcome series. Timing is adjusted to each business.
Why it matters
Email marketing in 2026: why it still pays, and what AI changes
Email marketing still pays in 2026 because an opted-in list is an audience you own, while the rules for reaching it have become stricter. Five shifts matter most for anyone running email today.
- First-party data: subscribers who tell you what they like give you data collected with consent, as third-party tracking shrinks
- Stricter inboxes: Gmail and Yahoo from February 2024, Outlook.com from May 2025, tougher Gmail enforcement from November 2025 (sources)
- Weaker opens: Apple Mail Privacy Protection hides whether a message was opened
- Automation: flows run every day, so a small team with good flows can out-earn a big team sending only campaigns
- India’s consent rules: DPDP Rules notified in November 2025 (compliance table)
AI in the work
AI tools draft subject line variants, suggest segments and propose send times. We use them for first drafts. A person at Digital Magma edits every email, checks every claim and approves every send, because AI copy tends to sound like everyone else’s and sometimes gets facts wrong.
AI in the inbox
Some mail apps now summarise or sort messages for their users. When a summary replaces your design, the message has to make sense in plain words, so we write a clear subject line, a first sentence that states the point, and a sender name that never changes. The same facts on your emails, website and business profiles also help AI assistants describe your business correctly, which is the focus of our AI SEO work.
Projects
Email marketing case studies: the funnels email builds on
Email marketing results are not shown as open or click rates here, because Digital Magma has no verified, publishable email figures yet. These three real projects show the traffic and lead work a list grows from. Their numbers are marketing results, not email metrics.

Benchmarks
Email marketing ROI: what public data says
Email marketing ROI is high for many businesses, but the best public figures are a spread of survey answers, not a single promise. Digital Magma quotes Litmus’s 2025 survey because it names its method and sample.
Litmus, 2025 State of Email survey
Source: Litmus, “The ROI of Email Marketing [Infographic]“, 16 July 2025, based on its 2025 State of Email survey of nearly 500 marketing professionals worldwide. Self-reported by respondents. A survey result, not a forecast for your business.
The same summary lists the email type with the highest ROI by segment: customer engagement emails for B2B and tech, promotional emails for B2C and retail, newsletters for D2C and professional services. A useful hint for what to send first.
Why we publish no “average open rate”
Open-rate benchmarks are inflated by Apple Mail Privacy Protection and vary by platform, country and list age. We compare your results with your own history instead. The benchmark that does matter is Google’s published spam-rate limit: below 0.3%, ideally below 0.10%.
How to work out your own email ROI
Our email marketing services tag every link with UTM parameters, count revenue in GA4, then compare it with the full cost of email (platform, agency, design and copy).
Worked example (illustrative numbers)
Revenue-based ROI always looks bigger than profit-based ROI. We report both, so nobody mistakes one for the other.
Industries
Email marketing services by industry: who we plan for
Email marketing works for any business with repeat buyers or a long decision cycle, and each sector needs a different set of flows. Here is how Digital Magma’s email marketing services adapt to six of them.
Ecommerce and D2C
Welcome, browse, cart and post-purchase flows, product recommendations and seasonal sale calendars.
IT, software and apps
Lead nurturing, trial onboarding, product update emails and renewal reminders tied to the CRM.
Travel, visa and local services
Multi-touch follow-ups for enquiries, appointment reminders and review requests after the job.
Healthcare
Appointment reminders and patient newsletters with careful copy. Where your sector has its own privacy rules, such as HIPAA for US covered entities, we follow the rules your compliance team sets.
Education
Enquiry to enrolment sequences, intake-date reminders, and parent or student newsletters.
Real estate
Project updates, site-visit follow-ups and possession or handover communication.
Worldwide
Email marketing agency for businesses worldwide: remote set-up and sending
Digital Magma works as a remote email marketing agency from one office in Sector 137, Noida 201305, for clients in India, the USA, the UK, the UAE, Canada and Australia. There are no overseas offices. The work happens in your email platform, on video calls and in shared reports.
How remote email work runs
- Send times: scheduled to each subscriber’s time zone where your platform allows it, otherwise to your main market’s morning
- Approvals: Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm IST, which overlaps with UAE, UK and Australian working days and the North American morning
- Language: US or UK English spelling to match your market
- Offers: local currency and local holidays, from Diwali to Thanksgiving to Ramadan
- Compliance: the consent rules of each country you send to (see below)
- Quotes: in USD, GBP or AED on scope for clients outside India
Search marketing in your country (to grow the list)
Consent
Email marketing compliance: consent rules in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE and India
Email marketing compliance differs by country, so Digital Magma applies the rules of the place each subscriber lives. The table summarises what each regulator’s own page says, checked in September 2026.
| Country | Law | What it means in practice | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| USA | CAN-SPAM Act | Covers all commercial email, B2B included. Accurate headers, no deceptive subject lines, identify the message as an ad, include a valid physical postal address, and honour opt-outs within 10 business days. The opt-out must keep working for at least 30 days after sending. The FTC lists penalties of up to $53,088 per violating email. | FTC compliance guide |
| UK | PECR, with UK GDPR | Marketing email to individuals needs their specific consent, unless the “soft opt-in” applies: an existing customer who bought or negotiated for a similar product, given a simple opt-out when their details were collected and in every message. Businesses may email corporate subscribers, but should keep an opt-out list. Never hide who you are. | ICO direct marketing guidance |
| Canada | CASL | Express consent, or implied consent in limited cases such as an existing business relationship. Each message names the sender (and anyone it is sent for), gives a mailing address plus a phone, email or website, and includes an unsubscribe that is actioned within 10 business days at no cost. | Government of Canada (ISED) |
| Australia | Spam Act 2003 | No unsolicited commercial electronic messages. Messages must carry accurate sender information and a functional unsubscribe facility. Address-harvesting software and harvested lists must not be supplied, acquired or used. | Federal Register of Legislation |
| UAE | Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL) | In force since 2 January 2022. Processing personal data without the owner’s consent is prohibited, apart from limited exceptions, and people can ask to correct their data or restrict or stop its processing. | UAE Government portal |
| India | DPDP Act 2023 and DPDP Rules 2025 | Rules notified on 14 November 2025, with an 18-month phased compliance timeline. Businesses must give standalone, clear and simple consent notices that explain the specific purpose for collecting data. | Press Information Bureau |
Digital Magma’s rules, in every country
- Opt-in subscribers only, with the date, source and wording of consent recorded
- A clear unsubscribe link in every email, plus the one-click header
- Unsubscribes honoured well inside the shortest legal and provider deadline (Yahoo’s 2 days)
- No bought, rented or scraped lists, ever
- Your real business name and postal address in the footer
Why CAN-SPAM alone is not enough
The FTC’s list of requirements does not include permission before the first email. In practice, Gmail and Yahoo complaint limits close that gap: people who never asked report the mail, and a spam rate above 0.3% hurts delivery to your whole list. So opt-in is our rule in the USA too.
General information, not legal advice. Laws change and exceptions apply. For a legal opinion on your own programme, speak to a lawyer in the relevant country.
Compare
Email marketing vs WhatsApp, SMS and social: how they compare
Email marketing is best for depth, receipts and nurture, while WhatsApp and SMS win on urgency. Digital Magma prefers to pair channels instead of picking one, especially for customers in India and the Gulf.
| Factor | SMS | Social media | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cost model | Platform fee, usually by contacts or sends | Meta charges for business-initiated template messages, by category and country | Per message, set by the provider | Free to post, paid to reach more people |
| Content depth | Long-form, images, multiple links | Short, conversational, media allowed | Very short text | Posts, video, stories |
| Automation | Deep: flows, segments, dynamic content | Templates and chat flows via the Business API | Basic triggers | Scheduling, limited triggers |
| Consent | Country laws above, plus provider rules | Opt-in required by WhatsApp’s policies | Opt-in, and DLT registration for business SMS in India | Platform rules for ads and messaging |
| Best use | Nurture, newsletters, receipts, win-back | Order updates, reminders, quick replies | OTPs, urgent alerts | Reach and discovery |
| Weak spot | Needs deliverability work | Feels intrusive if overused | Little room for detail | You do not own the audience |
A common set-up for opted-in customers in India and the UAE: email for the long story (onboarding, newsletters, receipts) and WhatsApp for short, time-bound messages (order shipped, appointment tomorrow). Social builds the audience that joins the list. See social media marketing or the full digital marketing plan.

Compare
Email marketing agency vs freelancer vs in-house team
An email marketing agency makes most sense when you need strategy, copy, design, automation and deliverability handled together. A freelancer suits one skill, and in-house suits a large, steady programme.
| Factor | Agency (Digital Magma) | Freelancer | In-house |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strategy | Included, linked to SEO and ads | Varies | Depends on the hire |
| Copy and design | Both, plus HTML templates | Often one of the two | Often needs a second hire |
| Automation build | Full flow library | Common | Learns on the job |
| Deliverability skills | DNS, warm-up, spam fixes | Varies, often a gap | Often a gap |
| Cover during leave | Yes | Rarely | Gap until someone steps in |
| Reporting | GA4-checked, monthly call | Varies | As good as the tools you buy |
| Cost model | Fixed monthly fee, custom quote | Hourly or per email | Salary, tools, training |
| Best for | Growing brands that want the whole programme run | A single newsletter or one-off template | Large lists with daily sending |
A setup that works well for growing brands: an agency builds and runs the programme, and one person in-house owns the calendar and approves sends. Want dedicated people instead? See how to hire digital marketing experts.
Buyer’s guide
Email marketing agency checklist: how to choose the right one
The right email marketing agency checks authentication first, asks where your list came from and reports on revenue. Use this checklist with anyone you speak to, Digital Magma included.
Green flags
- Checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC before planning campaigns
- Asks where your list came from and how consent was taken
- Proposes flows before more campaigns
- Reports clicks, leads and revenue, checked in GA4
- Works in your ESP account, in your name
- Explains Apple Mail Privacy Protection without being asked
Red flags
- Offers to sell or rent you a list
- “Guaranteed inbox placement”
- Reports that show only open rates

What to expect
Email marketing results: what to expect in 30, 60 and 90 days
Email marketing results usually start sooner than SEO, because you are writing to people who already know you. This is how the first months tend to run with Digital Magma.
Foundations
Audit, DNS fixes, list clean-up, sign-up forms live and the welcome flow switched on.
Flows and first sends
Cart or nurture flows live, first campaigns sent, first A/B tests read.
Segments and review
Segmentation, win-back flow, a revenue review and next quarter’s calendar.
Compounding
List growth adds up, flows earn every day, and tests keep lifting clicks.
Timing depends on list size, traffic and sending history. A domain with a poor reputation needs repair and warm-up first, which can add several weeks.
Measurement
Email marketing KPIs: what Digital Magma reports, and why open rates mislead
Email marketing KPIs worth reporting are the ones tied to action and money: clicks, conversions, revenue and list health. Digital Magma leads every report with those and treats opens as a rough signal at best.
Why open rates mislead
Apple’s support page says Mail Privacy Protection stops senders seeing whether you opened their email, and hides your IP address. For Apple Mail users with it on, a recorded open no longer proves a read, so open rates and the click-to-open rate built on them run high. Apple adds that the protection does not extend to links, which is why clicks stay reliable.

KPIs Digital Magma leads with
How revenue is attributed
UTM-tagged links, with purchases and leads as GA4 key events. The ESP’s revenue figure and GA4’s are shown side by side and reconciled, because some ESPs, by default, credit a sale to an email that was only opened, while GA4 needs a click.
What the monthly report looks like
A one-page summary, a Looker Studio dashboard with campaign, flow and list-health results, the test outcomes, and a 30-minute call on next month’s plan.
Avoid these
Email marketing mistakes and myths to avoid
Email marketing mistakes rarely look dramatic on the day. Digital Magma checks for these nine in every audit, because each one costs revenue or reputation quietly.
1. Buying or scraping lists
It breaks consent laws in most of the countries above, and complaints from people who never signed up can damage the domain for months.
2. Sending without SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Large providers now require them for bulk senders. Missing records mean spam folders or rejections.
3. One blast to everyone
Buyers, browsers and dormant contacts need different messages. The same email for all of them lifts unsubscribes.
4. Judging by opens
Privacy protection inflates opens. A subject line test “won” on opens can lose on sales.
5. No welcome flow
New subscribers are most interested on day one. Silence until next month’s newsletter wastes that moment.
6. Image-only emails
They break when images are off, read badly on screen readers and give mail apps no text to summarise.
7. Hiding the unsubscribe link
People who cannot leave easily press “report spam” instead, which hurts every future send.
8. Myth: “email is dead”
In Litmus’s 2025 survey, 70% of marketing leaders (35% + 30% + 5%) reported at least $10 back for every $1 spent on email.
9. Myth: “more emails, more sales”
Extra sends to people who do not click raise complaints and unsubscribes. Frequency should follow engagement.
People
Email marketing experts at Digital Magma, and what clients say
Email marketing at Digital Magma is planned and reviewed by the founder, so the person who audits your programme is the person who sets its strategy. Clients rate the agency 5.0 on Google from 82+ reviews.
Ankit Sachan
Founder & Head of SEO, Digital Magma
Ankit has worked in digital marketing since 2016 and founded Digital Magma in 2020. He led the search and social growth that email lists are built from, including organic traffic from about 800 to over 50,000 sessions a month for an app company across six countries, and LinkedIn growth from 4K to 28K followers.

Three lessons from the founder
Two hundred people who asked to hear from you are worth more than twenty thousand who did not. DNS records take an afternoon to set up, while a burned domain takes months to recover. And the welcome email is your best shot: say who you are, deliver what you promised, give one next step.
None of the reviews below is about email work specifically. We chose ones about how Digital Magma communicates and reports, because that is how an email programme is run too.
“What stood out most was their communication and transparency. They provide regular updates and explain performance in simple terms.”
“They explain strategies clearly and focus on long-term business growth instead of short-term promises.”
“They handled our Google Ads and SEO campaigns efficiently. Reporting is transparent and performance has improved consistently over time.”
FAQs
Email marketing services: frequently asked questions
What is included in email marketing services?
Email marketing services from Digital Magma include strategy, list building, automated flows, newsletters and campaigns, copy and template design, SPF, DKIM and DMARC set-up, segmentation, A/B testing and a monthly report checked in GA4. You can take the full programme or one piece, such as a deliverability fix.
How much do email marketing services cost per month?
Digital Magma quotes email marketing services as a fixed monthly fee, based on list size, flows, campaigns per month, design and copy, deliverability repair and the number of markets. Your ESP subscription is separate and paid to the provider. Clients outside India are quoted in USD, GBP or AED.
Is email marketing worth it for a small business?
For most small businesses it is, because the list is an audience you own and flows keep working without extra effort. In Litmus’s 2025 survey, 70% of marketing leaders reported at least $10 back per $1 spent. A welcome flow plus one monthly newsletter is a realistic start.
Why are my emails going to spam?
Usual causes: missing or misaligned SPF, DKIM or DMARC, a spam complaint rate near 0.3%, contacts who never opted in, old addresses that bounce, and sudden jumps in volume. Digital Magma checks each one in the free audit and tells you which is most likely hurting you.
What are the Gmail and Yahoo bulk sender requirements?
Bulk senders need SPF and DKIM, a DMARC record (policy none is accepted), an aligned From domain, one-click unsubscribe plus a visible link, and a spam rate below 0.3%. Yahoo wants unsubscribes honoured within 2 days, and Google recommends 48 hours. Gmail’s bulk threshold is 5,000 messages a day.
Which email automations should an online store have?
An online store should run a welcome series, an abandoned cart email flow, browse abandonment, a post-purchase flow with a review request, and a win-back campaign. That is Digital Magma's default build order, followed by replenishment reminders for products people reorder.
Which email marketing platform should I use?
Choose the platform that connects best to your customer data. Stores often pick Klaviyo, B2B teams with a CRM often use HubSpot, Zoho users pick Zoho Campaigns, and Mailchimp or Brevo suit newsletters and smaller budgets. Digital Magma recommends one after seeing your store and CRM.
Can you migrate us to a new email platform?
Digital Magma handles ESP migration: contacts with consent records and suppression lists, segments, flows and templates. We then warm up the new sending domain and run both platforms side by side until the new one is stable.
How often should I send marketing emails?
There is no single right number. Engaged buyers can hear from you more often, and people who have not clicked in months should get fewer emails before a sunset flow removes them. Pick a cadence you can sustain, then adjust by segment using clicks and unsubscribes.
How do you measure email marketing success?
Digital Magma measures click-through rate, conversions, revenue per email, leads, flow revenue share, list growth, unsubscribes, spam complaints and bounces. Opens are a rough signal only, because Apple Mail Privacy Protection hides real opens. Revenue is checked in GA4 through UTM-tagged links.
How long does email marketing take to show results?
A welcome or cart flow can produce sales within weeks of going live. Segmentation and testing add gains over the first three months, and list growth compounds after that. A domain with a poor sending reputation needs repair and warm-up first, which adds time.
Can I buy an email list to grow faster?
Digital Magma never uses bought, rented or scraped lists. Most of the laws above require consent or ban harvested lists, and people who never signed up report emails as spam, which can push you past Gmail’s 0.3% limit. A good lead magnet grows a list more safely.
Do you write and design the emails?
Digital Magma writes the subject line, preview text and body, designs branded templates, and builds responsive HTML emails tested in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, dark mode included. If you prefer to write drafts, we edit them and handle design and sending.
Can an agency in India run email for a US, UK or UAE business?
Digital Magma runs email programmes remotely for clients in the USA, UK, UAE, Canada and Australia as well as India. Sends follow each market’s time zone where the platform allows, copy uses local spelling, and each country’s consent rules apply. We work 9 am to 9 pm IST, Monday to Saturday.
Can you guarantee inbox placement?
No one can guarantee inbox placement, because Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft decide on each message. Digital Magma controls the factors they publish: authentication, alignment, complaint rate, list quality, unsubscribe handling and sending patterns. Treat a promise of guaranteed inbox placement as a red flag.
