White label SEO services: what they are and how the model works

White label SEO services are SEO work that one company delivers and another company sells under its own brand. The reselling agency owns the client relationship, sets the price and presents the reports. The provider does the audits, fixes, content and link earning in the background. Digital Magma provides this from Noida, India, to agencies in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia.

Three parties are involved, and each one sees something different. Your agency sells the work, signs the contract with the client and answers the phone when the client calls. Digital Magma plans and delivers the SEO. Your client sees one brand from start to finish: yours.

Agencies use the model for three reasons: a client asks for SEO and nobody in-house can do it, a busy quarter brings more retainers than the team can carry, or a job needs a specialist skill such as a migration or hreflang.

A partner cannot fix a weak sale. If the scope promised to the client does not match what the site needs, the gap shows up in month three. That is why every partnership with Digital Magma starts with an audit of the real site. And a white label arrangement is a delivery team, which makes it different from a link package or a dashboard with your logo on it.

Who does what

White label SEO roles: who does what between your agency, Digital Magma and your client

In a white label SEO setup, your agency sells and approves, Digital Magma plans and delivers, and your client sees only your brand. The table shows who is responsible, who approves and who is kept informed at each stage.

Who it suits

White label SEO for agencies: who this partnership is built for

Outsourced SEO for agencies works best for five kinds of business, each with a different first project. If you recognise your agency below, the typical starting point is listed on the card.

Web design and development studios

Clients ask “can you do SEO too?” the week a site goes live. You want to say yes without hiring.

Typical first project: a pre-launch technical check, then monthly SEO for one client.

PPC and paid social agencies

You already own the ad budget and the tracking. Organic search is the obvious next line on the invoice.

Typical first project: an audit and a 90-day roadmap for an existing ads client.

Small full-service agencies

Two to fifteen people, one SEO generalist, and more retainers than that person can carry. You need extra hands that follow your process.

Typical first project: taking over technical work and content on two or three accounts.

Consultants and fractional CMOs

You sell strategy and need a team that executes it and reports back in a format you can present.

Typical first project: execution of a roadmap you have already written.

SEO agencies that need overflow or a specialism

A migration, an international rollout or AI search work sits outside your team’s experience, or you are short of hands for a quarter.

Typical first project: one specialist job, such as hreflang for a multi-country site.

Related direct services, if your agency also needs them: website design and PPC management.

What we deliver

White label SEO services we deliver: audits, technical fixes, content, local, links and AI search

Digital Magma’s white label SEO services cover seven areas, and you can buy one of them or all seven for a client. Each item below is a deliverable you can put on a proposal, with the output your client will see under your name.

Diagnose

Find out what the site needs before anyone sells a scope.

  • Technical SEO audit and roadmapCrawl, Search Console review and a competitor gap, turned into an issue list ranked by impact that a non-technical client can follow. A Discuss Your Project shows the format.
  • Previous-vendor reviewWhen a client switches to you, we check what the last provider left behind: bought links, thin pages, broken redirects.

Fix the site

What Google has to crawl, render and understand.

  • Technical SEOIndexing, XML sitemap, canonical tag rules, redirects, structured data and JavaScript rendering. Core Web Vitals checked against the web.dev thresholds: LCP 2.5 s or less, INP 200 ms or less, CLS 0.1 or less.
  • Site migrationsRedirect maps, pre-launch crawls and post-launch checks, so a redesign does not wipe out rankings.

Pages and content

Pages that match what people search.

  • On-page SEO and keyword mappingOne main search intent per page, titles, headings and internal links. More on our SEO services page.
  • Content writingA content brief for every page, then writing in US, British or Australian English to match the client.

Local and international

Where the client’s buyers search from.

  • White label local SEOGoogle Business Profile upkeep, citation building, a review routine and location pages, aimed at the local pack.
  • International SEOHreflang, country pages and local phrasing, from a programme our founder ran across six countries.

Authority

Why other sites, and AI tools, should trust the client.

These links open our own service pages in a new tab. They carry Digital Magma’s name, so keep them for your own research.

Onboarding

White label SEO process: from brief to first report in 7 steps

Our white label SEO services take a new client from paperwork to the first report in seven steps. Each step produces a document you keep, and nothing changes on a client site before you approve it.

1

Sign the NDA and partner terms

Optional, on request, and done before you share a client name. Output: signed paperwork.

2

Send the client brief

Goals, markets, competitors and, most important, what you sold the client. Output: a one-page brief.

3

Grant access by invitation

Search Console, GA4, the CMS and Google Business Profile, through user invitations. We never ask for shared passwords. Output: an access log.

4

Audit and roadmap

A full audit, including a review of any previous vendor’s work, and a roadmap for your approval. Output: the roadmap.

5

Your go-ahead

You approve the plan, or change it, before any work touches the client’s site. Output: an agreed scope of work.

6

Execution

Fixes, content and link earning, each recorded with a date and URL. Output: a dated work log.

7

First report

Unbranded or in your branding. You review it, then send it to the client. Output: the report and next month’s plan.

Reporting

White label SEO reports and dashboards: unbranded or in your branding

White label SEO reports from Digital Magma come in two forms: fully unbranded, or carrying your logo, colours, agency name and contact details. Either way, your client reads a report that looks like it came from your office.

  • Results first: leads and conversions from organic search in Google Analytics 4, checked against the client’s conversion tracking
  • Search data: positions for the money keywords, plus clicks and impressions from Google Search Console. Rank tracking covers the terms you agreed, not vanity terms
  • Work done: every task with its date and the URL it touched
  • AI visibility: results of the monthly citation checks, where they are in scope
  • Next month: the plan, in priority order
  • Plain-English summary: a short paragraph at the top that your account manager can paste straight into an email

On request we add a separate internal note for you only: risks, questions to ask the client and possible next work. A branded dashboard in the client’s own Google accounts is another option. For what a good monthly report should contain, see our guide to SEO reporting deliverables.

Brand protection

White label SEO and brand protection: NDA, no client contact and no brand leaks

A white label SEO agency earns trust by staying out of sight. Digital Magma signs an NDA on request, has no contact with your client unless you ask, and leaves the relationship and the price entirely with you.

The biggest fear agency owners raise: will the partner go around me to my client? You keep the relationship. You set your own price, and we never see it unless you tell us. We only talk to your client when you invite us in.

The quieter risk is a brand leak. Most providers of white label SEO services say “fully white label” and stop there, yet a partner’s identity usually leaks through small things: a file’s metadata, the account that shared a Google Doc, a tracking link on another domain. The checklist covers each one.

One honest limit. If a content byline uses a real person’s name, a curious client can search that name and find a LinkedIn profile. So bylines are agreed with you first. Using the client’s own experts as authors also helps E-E-A-T.

What we will not do: contact your client without your say-so, add credits such as “optimised by” to a client site, or link from a client site to ours.

Access and ownership

White label SEO access: who owns Search Console, Analytics and the work

With Digital Magma’s white label SEO services, your client or your agency stays the owner of every account. We get user access that you can remove in one click, and Admin rights never leave your side.

Google’s own permission model makes this easy to get right. Search Console Help describes three levels. An owner, verified or delegated, has full control and can add or remove users. A full user can view all data and take some actions. A restricted user has simple view rights on most data. Google also notes that a property must keep at least one verified owner.

We ask for full user, not owner. That is enough to inspect URLs, submit an XML sitemap and read every report, while control stays with you. In Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Business Profile, you invite our user and keep Admin rights. In the CMS, we get a named account you delete at the end.

A tip on user permissions: have the client add your agency first, then add us yourself. The client then sees only your agency in its user list, and you can remove us without involving them.

Hours and communication

White label SEO agency in India: time zones, working hours and communication

Live calls fit a US morning, most of a UK working day and an Australian afternoon. The rest of the work happens while a US partner sleeps: you brief us at the end of your day and pick up progress the next morning. The time zone overlap with the US West Coast is thinnest, so it runs on written updates and early calls.

We do not publish a fixed turnaround. Each proposal states timelines for that client. Every partner gets one named account manager, and you choose the channels: email, scheduled video calls, phone or WhatsApp.

Spelling follows each client’s market: US, British or Australian. Delivery is remote from one office in Sector 137, Noida, for clients in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and the UAE.

Quality control

White label SEO quality control: how work is checked before it reaches you

White label SEO services only work if you can forward the output without rewriting it. Digital Magma checks every piece of work against the client’s own data and Google’s rules before it lands in your inbox.

One roadmap per client

Each plan is built from that client’s crawl, Search Console data and competitors, never from a template.

Checked before it ships

Technical changes are tested on staging or confirmed with a fresh crawl. Content is edited for accuracy, tone and spelling. Link prospects are checked for relevance.

Google’s rules as the floor

All work follows Google Search Essentials and the spam policies: no bought links, no private blog networks and no scaled thin content. The penalty for breaking them lands on your client, and so on you.

AI drafts are edited by people

Where AI tools help with a first draft, a person edits and fact-checks it before you see it. If you or your client want to know where AI was used, ask and we will tell you.

Bad news travels first

If organic traffic or leads drop, you hear it from us first, with the likely cause and a plan.

Every change on record

The dated work log ties any ranking move to a cause, and shows a client what they paid for.

Content meets the same standard as our direct content writing work.

Tools

White label SEO tools: the stack behind the work

Digital Magma runs its white label SEO services on Google’s own tools plus the main paid SEO suites, so your agency does not need its own seats for the work we deliver.

Client data stays inside the client’s Google properties. Exports and crawl files are shared only with you. AI visibility checks are done by hand with real buyer prompts. We do not claim a paid AI-tracking tool.

Proof

White label SEO proof: results our founder has led, labelled honestly

The white label SEO results we can show are from direct engagements, not white-label work, because partner results belong to partners. Digital Magma’s founder led all three, and the figures come from Google Search Console and GA4.

Pricing

White label SEO pricing: how quotes work and what the market charges

White label SEO pricing at Digital Magma is a custom quote per client site, based on scope. We do not publish a partner rate card, because a five-page local site and a 5,000-page store need very different hours.

Pricing modelHow it worksWhen it fits
Monthly retainer per clientA fixed monthly scope for one siteOngoing SEO you resell as a monthly plan
One-off projectA fixed fee for a defined jobAudits, migrations, pre-launch checks
Task-basedQuoted per batch of content or fixesClients with irregular needs
Reserved monthly capacityA block of work shared across several of your clientsAgencies with five or more SEO clients

What moves a quote

  • Site size and how many templates it uses
  • Competition for the client’s main searches
  • Number of markets and languages
  • Content volume each month
  • Who implements technical fixes: us or the client’s developer
  • Report format: unbranded, branded or dashboard

How to work out your margin

Gross margin equals your client price, minus the partner cost, minus your account-management hours multiplied by your hourly cost. The hours are the part agencies forget, and a demanding client eats a thin margin fast.

Worked example (invented numbers, not our rates)

You sell a plan at $2,000 a month. The partner cost is $1,100. You spend 5 hours a month on the account at an internal cost of $40 an hour, which is $200. Gross margin: $2,000 minus $1,100 minus $200 equals $700, or 35% of the client price. Raise the time spent to 12 hours and the margin falls to $420.

Prices for businesses that hire Digital Magma directly are on our SEO for US businesses page. Partner pricing for our white label SEO services is quoted separately. Send one client URL to get a quote.

How your service quote is scoped

₹40,000 is our minimum paid engagement, not a fixed price for every service or a promise that every deliverable is included. For this service, the quote depends on website size, technical complexity, locations and languages, content production, authority work and SEO or AI-search reporting.

Recurring work is quoted per month; a standalone audit, build or production project is quoted separately. Your proposal confirms deliverables, quantities, timelines, revisions, applicable taxes and third-party costs before work begins. Larger programmes are custom quoted with no upper price limit.

Compare

White label SEO vs an in-house hire vs a freelancer: cost, risk and control

A white label SEO partner suits agencies whose SEO revenue cannot yet keep a full-time specialist busy, or that need several skills at once. An in-house hire wins once the work is large and steady. A freelancer fits small, single-skill jobs.

Best forLarge, steady SEO revenueOne-off tasksGrowing or uneven SEO demand

For a cost anchor, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a median annual wage of $78,760 (May 2025) for market research analysts. It is the closest category in its Occupational Outlook Handbook, which has no “SEO specialist” entry. Benefits, tools and management time come on top.

Our verdict: hire in-house once SEO revenue can keep one person fully busy. Use a partner before that, or for specialist work. Agencies that want people working only on their accounts can look at a dedicated SEO team instead, and our guide to hiring digital marketing experts covers embedded specialists.

Choosing a partner

White label SEO provider checklist: 12 questions to ask before you sign

Choose a white label SEO provider the way Google tells site owners to choose an SEO, then add the questions that only matter when the work goes out under your name.

Google’s hiring guidance is plain: “Ultimately, you are responsible for the actions of any companies you hire”. For an agency, that covers your client too. If a partner buys links for a client site, your agency takes the blame.

Adapted from Google’s list

  • Can you show examples of previous work?
  • Do you follow Google Search Essentials?
  • What results do you expect, and over what timeframe?
  • What is your experience in my client’s industry and country?
  • How long have you been in business?
  • Will you share every change you make to the site?

White-label additions

  • Who exactly will work on my accounts?
  • How are reports branded, and where could your name show up?
  • How is client data stored, and how is it deleted?
  • What is in your NDA and non-solicitation terms?
  • What do you do when rankings drop?
  • What happens to the files and access when we stop?

Red flags

Guaranteed rankings

Google’s own words: “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.” A provider that promises it is guessing or cutting corners.

Links priced per link

A price list per link usually means bought placements.

No work log

If they will not show what they changed and when, you cannot defend the work to your client.

Wants owner access or passwords

A partner needs user access, never owner rights or logins.

One template for every client

Identical roadmaps across different sites mean nobody looked at the data.

Contact with your client

A partner that wants to “just join the call” from week one is building its own relationship.

To test a partner, ask for a Discuss Your Project of a site you know well.

Contract terms

White label SEO contracts: NDA, non-solicitation, work ownership and exit terms

A white label SEO contract should turn the usual fears into written terms: confidentiality, no poaching, ownership of the work and a clean exit. This is a checklist, not legal advice. Have your own lawyer review any agreement.

NDA

Covers client names, data, strategies and pricing, in both directions. Digital Magma signs one on request, before you share a client name.

Non-solicitation clause

The provider agrees not to approach your clients, or take work from them, during the partnership and for a period after. The period is set in the contract. Ask every provider for this clause, including us.

Work ownership

Deliverables belong to your agency once paid for, so you can reuse, edit and resell them.

Data handling

Access through user invitations only, and client data deleted or returned at the end. Where personal data is involved, we can discuss a data processing agreement.

Scope and change requests

A statement of work lists what is included each month and how extra work is quoted, so nobody argues about it in month four.

Notice and handover

The notice period, and what comes back to you at the end: the work log, files, link records and a list of open tasks.

Minimum terms and notice periods are agreed per partnership. We do not publish defaults.

What to expect

White label SEO timeline: the first 30, 60 and 90 days with a new partner

The first 90 days of white label SEO services are mostly setup, fixes and first content. Rankings on competitive terms usually move later, so set that expectation with your client before the contract starts.

Days 1–30

Set up

Terms, brief, access, audit and an approved roadmap. The first quick fixes go live.

Days 31–60

Fix and write

Priority technical fixes shipped, key pages rewritten, first new content published and the first full report sent.

Days 61–90

Review

Rankings and leads reviewed with you. Link earning under way. A next-quarter plan ready for you to present.

Months 4–12

Compound

Content ages, links build up and harder searches begin to move.

The data supports patience. Ahrefs found that only 1.74% of newly published pages reached the top 10 within a year (Ahrefs study). Faster results do happen, as with the UK startup above, but usually in a niche with little competition.

Switching from another provider adds one step: the audit reviews the previous vendor’s work and flags anything risky, such as bought links or thin pages, so you have a written record of what was inherited.

Common mistakes

White label SEO mistakes agencies make, and how to avoid them

Most problems with white label SEO services start on the agency side, before the partner touches the site. These six come up again and again in partner conversations, and each one has a simple fix.

Selling scope before anyone has seen the site

A package can promise twelve blog posts to a site Google cannot even index. Audit first, then write the proposal.

Forwarding reports unread

When the client asks a question, you answer cold. Read each report first.

Letting the partner own the accounts

If the partner created the accounts, leaving gets messy. Keep ownership from day one.

Buying the cheapest link package

It protects your margin for a quarter, then the link-spam risk lands on your client.

No written non-solicitation

A verbal promise is worth little. Put it in the contract.

A contact who changes every month

Context is lost at every handover. Ask for one named account manager.

Honest advice

White label SEO: when white label is not the right fit

White label SEO services are the wrong choice in six situations, and Digital Magma would rather tell you on the first call. Each card says what to do instead.

Your client wants daily live contact

An SEO lead in their office, or daily calls in a US afternoon. Instead: hire locally or in-house.

A regulated niche needs a licensed reviewer

Medical, legal or financial content where the client requires a named local expert to sign off, and you cannot supply one. Instead: keep content in-house with that reviewer and outsource only the technical work.

Rankings in weeks on a new domain

Competitive head terms do not move that fast for anyone. Instead: reset expectations with the Ahrefs data above, or run paid search while SEO builds.

Nobody at your agency can review and explain

Without that person, the white-label layer only adds a hop. Instead: the client may be better served by a direct engagement.

SEO is already your core product

Handing over all delivery hollows out your own offer. Instead: use a partner for overflow or a specialism only.

The budget cannot cover real work

A retainer too small for content or fixes only buys a monthly list of problems. Instead: sell a one-off audit and roadmap. Start with a Discuss Your Project.

FAQs

White label SEO services: frequently asked questions

Short answers to what agency owners ask before they buy white label SEO services, from pricing and margins to NDAs, ownership and AI search.

What are white label SEO services?

White label SEO services are SEO work done by one company and sold by another under its own brand. Your agency keeps the client, the price and the relationship. The provider handles audits, technical fixes, content and link earning, and prepares reports in your branding or unbranded. Digital Magma delivers this from Noida, India.

How does white label SEO work for an agency?

You send a client brief and grant user access to the client’s accounts. Digital Magma audits the site and drafts a roadmap for your approval. Once you approve, we carry out the work, log every change and prepare a monthly report. You review the report and send it to your client under your brand.

Will my clients know I outsource SEO to Digital Magma?

Only if you tell them. Reports are unbranded or carry your logo, documents are shared from your workspace or a neutral account, and we have no contact with your client unless you ask. Bylines are agreed with you in advance, because a public author name is the one place a curious client could look.

How much do white label SEO services cost?

Digital Magma quotes partner work per client site, based on site size, competition, markets, content volume and reporting needs. For market context, Ahrefs found that the most common SEO retainer is $501 to $1,000 a month, and that 76% of India-based SEOs charge $1,000 or less. Send a client URL for a custom quote.

How much margin should my agency add when reselling SEO?

There is no standard figure. Work it out per client: your price, minus the partner cost, minus your account-management hours at your hourly cost. The hours matter most. A client who needs weekly calls can turn a healthy-looking markup into a loss, so price the relationship as well as the work.

Is it safe to use a white label SEO agency in India for US or UK clients?

It is safe when the controls are in place. Keep ownership of every account, grant user access by invitation, ask for a white-hat clause and a full work log, and sign an NDA. Digital Magma works this way by default, writes in US or British English, and overlaps with US mornings and most of the UK day.

Do you sign an NDA and a non-solicitation agreement?

Digital Magma signs an NDA on request, before you share any client name. Non-solicitation terms, including how long they last after the partnership ends, are agreed and written into the partner contract. Ask for that clause from any provider you consider, and have your own lawyer review the final wording.

Who owns my client’s Search Console, Analytics and content?

You or your client do. We ask for full user access in Search Console, never owner, and you keep Admin rights in GA4, Tag Manager and Google Business Profile. Deliverables belong to your agency once paid for.

Can I start with one client or a single audit?

Starting with one client is what we recommend. Send one site and what you sold to the client, and Digital Magma replies with an audit outline, a first roadmap and a custom quote. An audit-only project also works if you want to judge the quality before committing a monthly retainer.

Do you provide white label link building?

Digital Magma earns links through digital PR and content that editors want to cite, delivered under your brand. We do not sell links by the unit, buy placements or use private blog networks, because Google’s spam policies treat those as link spam and the risk would fall on your client’s site.

Can you join calls with my client?

When you ask, we can, for example in a kickoff or a technical review. How we are introduced is agreed with you first. Otherwise you lead every client conversation, with notes we prepare.

What is the difference between white label and private label SEO?

In everyday use there is little difference: both mean SEO delivered by a provider and sold under your brand. Some providers use “private label” for work built fully to your own templates and process, and “reseller program” for fixed packages. Ask any provider which meaning it uses before comparing prices.

Does white label SEO include AI Overviews and ChatGPT visibility?

It can. Digital Magma adds baseline checks of how AI tools describe the client, consistent business facts, answer-first passages and monthly citation checks, all reported under your brand. Google says AI Overviews have no additional requirements beyond normal SEO, and nobody can guarantee a citation in an AI answer.

How do we switch to you from another white label SEO provider?

Make sure you or the client own every account, then invite us as a user. Ask the old provider for its work log and link records. Our first audit reviews the previous work and flags anything risky before we build on it.

Can a white label SEO company guarantee rankings?

No honest one can. Google’s own hiring guidance says “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.” Digital Magma commits to the agreed work, delivered on schedule and logged, with honest reporting on what moved and what did not. Treat any partner that promises positions as a risk to your client.

Next step

White label SEO partnership: start with one client site

Digital Magma suggests a simple first step: send one client URL and tell us what you sold. We reply with an audit outline, a roadmap and a custom quote. If you want an NDA first, say so and we sign it before you share the name.

  • One client URL and a line on what you promised them
  • An audit outline and roadmap you can check against your own view
  • A custom partner quote for that site

Digital Magma builds white label SEO services around one rule: your client sees your brand, and you see all of our work.
