White label social media marketing: what it is, and how it differs from white label software

White label social media marketing is social media work that a partner produces and an agency sells under its own brand. The partner plans, writes, designs, schedules and reports. The agency owns the client, approves the work and sets the price. Digital Magma provides white label social media marketing from Noida, India, for agencies in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia.

Search for the phrase and half of what comes back is software: scheduling tools you can rebrand with your logo. A rebranded tool still leaves your team to write, design and answer comments. A white label social media service gives you the people who do that work.

The two often go together: plenty of agencies pay for a scheduling platform and lack the hours to fill it. Digital Magma can work inside the tool you already use.

Is reselling someone else’s social work honest? It is ordinary subcontracting. The test is accountability: your agency stays answerable for quality, claims and disclosures, so only resell work you have read and would defend. White label social media marketing never means buying followers or engagement.

Who does what

White label social media roles: what your agency, Digital Magma and your client each do

In white label social media work, your agency approves and owns the relationship, Digital Magma produces and monitors, and your client supplies the raw material and owns the accounts. Clear lines here prevent most of the problems that sink partnerships.

One escalation rule sits above the table. Anything legal, medical, financial or angry is flagged to you and never answered by us without your approval. More on that under approvals and community management.

Who it suits

White label social media agency partners: who this is built for

A white label social media agency suits businesses whose clients want social, but whose own team is built around something else. These are the five partner types we see most, each with the usual first project.

SEO and PPC agencies

Clients keep asking “can you also handle our socials?” You already own the analytics.

Usual start: content and posting for one existing client.

Web design studios

A new site launches and the client’s Instagram still shows a 2022 logo. A launch-plus-social bundle closes that gap.

Usual start: profile clean-up and a launch month calendar.

PR firms

Coverage arrives in bursts, and between campaigns the client’s channels go quiet.

Usual start: always-on LinkedIn and Instagram content between campaigns.

Consultants and fractional CMOs

You set the strategy and run the meetings. You do not want to write captions at 10 pm.

Usual start: executing a content plan you have already written.

Social agencies with overflow

A busy quarter stretches your designers and writers past capacity.

Usual start: design and caption support on two or three brands.

SEO agencies often pair this with our white label SEO services, so one partner covers organic search and social under the same brand rules.

What we deliver

White label social media management services: what Digital Magma delivers each month

Digital Magma’s white label social media marketing comes as seven groups of white label social media management services. You can buy the full set for a client or only the parts your team lacks, and each item is something your client will see under your name.

Strategy

The plan that every post hangs from.

  • Audience and goalWho the brand wants to reach and what a good month looks like: enquiries, sales, hires or reach.
  • Content pillarsThree to five recurring themes per brand, so the calendar has shape instead of random posts.
  • Monthly theme planLaunches, seasons, holidays and the client’s own news.

White label social media content

The work your client actually sees.

  • CaptionsIn US, British or Australian English, following the brand voice sheet.
  • Static and carousel postsDesigned to the client’s brand guidelines, or a style guide we draft with you.
  • Short-form videoInstagram Reels and YouTube Shorts edited from footage your client supplies. Stories built from the same material.
  • Hashtag research and social searchKeywords in captions and on-screen text for in-app search.

Publishing

Posts that go out on time, in the right place.

  • SchedulingThrough Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, the platform’s native scheduler, or the tool your agency already pays for.
  • Post checksLinks, tags and alt text checked once live.

Community management

Inside our working hours (see below).

  • Comment repliesFrom an answer bank you approve, in the brand’s voice.
  • ModerationSpam hidden, leads and complaints flagged to you.

Paid social (custom scope)

Budget behind the posts that earn it.

  • Meta and LinkedIn adsCampaigns in Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, including retargeting of site visitors and engaged users. See our online advertising services.
  • Boosting what worksOrganic posts with above-average saves and shares are tested as ads.

Profile optimisation

The pages people land on from a post.

  • Bios, links and highlightsWritten and kept current.
  • LinkedIn page sectionsAbout text, specialities and featured posts set up properly.

Creators and UGC

Support only. We do not claim an influencer network.

  • Creator briefsWhat to say, what not to say, and the disclosure rule for each market.
  • User-generated contentReposted only with written permission from the person who made it.

Posts per month are set in each proposal, with no published default. For video-heavy plans, see video marketing. Long-form copy such as blogs sits with content writing.

Choosing networks

White label social media platforms: choosing networks by where your client’s buyers are

White label social media plans work best on two platforms done well rather than six done thinly. Pew Research Center’s 2025 survey of U.S. adults gives a useful starting point for where audiences actually are.

Share of U.S. adults who say they use each platform

YouTube 84%2025 survey
Facebook 71%2025 survey
Instagram 50%2025 survey
TikTok 37%2025 survey
Pinterest 36%2024 survey (not asked in 2025)
LinkedIn 32%2024 survey (not asked in 2025)

Source: Pew Research Center, Social Media Fact Sheet, published November 2025. The 2025 survey ran from February to June 2025.

Reach is only half the decision in white label social media marketing. LinkedIn reaches fewer Americans than Facebook, yet for software sold to finance directors it is usually the better first choice.

  • B2B services and SaaS: LinkedIn company page plus one visual platform, usually Instagram or YouTube
  • Local services: Facebook and Instagram, with posts that point to bookings and calls
  • Ecommerce and D2C: Instagram and Pinterest, product-led, with carousels and short video
  • Education and how-to brands: YouTube first, with Shorts cut from longer videos

Other networks, such as Pinterest or X, are discussed per brand and only added when the client’s buyers are clearly there.

The TikTok limit, stated plainly

India’s government blocked TikTok and 58 other apps on 29 June 2020 (Press Information Bureau release). Our team works from Noida, so we do not manage TikTok accounts. If a client is TikTok-first, keep TikTok with a partner where the app operates. We will tell you this on the first call rather than sell around it.

What we suggest instead

Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts carry the same short vertical video format. A brand that wants short video but is not tied to TikTok can usually get there through those two, which we do manage.

Onboarding

White label social media process: 7 steps from intake to monthly report

The white label social media process at Digital Magma moves a new brand from paperwork to its first report in seven steps. Nothing is published until you have approved it, and each step leaves you a document you keep.

1

NDA and partner terms

On request, signed before you tell us the client’s name. Output: the signed paperwork.

2

Brand intake

Guidelines, voice, banned words, competitors, sensitive topics and who approves what. Output: a brand voice sheet.

3

Access by permission

Partner access in the Meta business portfolio and page roles elsewhere. Output: an access log.

4

Profile audit and 30-day plan

What the brand posts now, what performs, what to fix. Output: an audit and a plan for your approval.

5

Calendar and drafts

The month’s posts as finished drafts. You approve, and your client too if you choose. Output: an approved content calendar.

6

Publish and monitor

Scheduling, post checks and comment monitoring within our hours. Output: a live calendar and a log of flagged comments.

7

Monthly report

Results in your branding plus next month’s plan. Output: a report you can send as it is.

Control

White label social media approvals: brand voice, calendars and revision rounds

With white label social media marketing from Digital Magma, nothing is published without your approval. You sign off the calendar as a whole, then any sensitive post one by one, and your client can be added as a second approver.

The approval workflow is where agencies keep control of white label social media marketing. The order is fixed: draft, your review, changes, approval, then scheduling.

Every brand gets a brand voice sheet before the first caption is written. When a new writer joins the account, the sheet is how they sound like the last one.

Revision rounds per calendar are set in each proposal. In practice the first month takes the most changes, because that is when the voice settles. If an approval runs late, the brand does not go silent: we keep a small evergreen backlog of approved posts that can fill a gap.

Approvals happen where you already work: your project tool, a shared calendar or a document you own.

Comments and messages

White label social media community management: what is covered and what stays with you

White label social media community management at Digital Magma runs Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm IST. That covers US nights and mornings well and leaves US afternoons with you, so we plan for it openly.

In New York time our working day runs from 11:30 pm to 11:30 am while US clocks are on daylight time. In Los Angeles it runs from 8:30 pm to 8:30 am. Because the week runs Monday to Saturday in India, coverage starts on Sunday evening US time and ends late on Saturday morning.

So a comment left at 3 pm in Chicago is seen when our next day starts. For a B2B page with a few comments a week that is fine. For a restaurant it is not, as the not-a-fit list says.

Inside our hours we work from an answer bank: approved replies to the questions the brand gets again and again, written with you in month one. Spam gets hidden. Sales enquiries are flagged to you as leads. Complaints, refund requests and anything legal or medical go to you or the client, never answered by us without approval. Direct messages are handled only if the client wants it and an escalation path exists.

Access and ownership

White label social media access: partner permissions instead of passwords

White label social media work should never need your client’s owner login. Digital Magma asks for partner or role access on each platform, so your client keeps ownership and can remove us in a few clicks.

Meta built this for agencies. In Meta’s own help article, “Give a partner access to business assets in your business portfolio“, the business that owns the Pages and ad accounts adds a partner business and chooses exactly which assets it can touch. Ownership stays with the client’s business portfolio. When the work ends, the partner is removed and nothing else changes.

The cleanest set-up for white label work: your client gives partner access to your agency, and your agency shares the relevant Pages with us. Your client’s settings then show only your agency, and you control our access without asking them.

LinkedIn and YouTube have their own role systems: page admin roles on LinkedIn and channel permissions in YouTube Studio. A shared password is the last resort, with two-factor sign-in left on a device the client controls.

Reporting

White label social media reports: the metrics clients care about, in your branding

White label social media reports from Digital Magma arrive monthly as part of every white label social media marketing plan, either fully unbranded or with your logo, colours and agency name. They lead with business results, because a client paying for social wants to know what it brought in.

  • Business results first: clicks to the website and enquiries from social, measured in Google Analytics 4 through UTM parameters on every link
  • Conversations: leads that came in through comments and messages, logged as they happened
  • Content performance: reach, impressions, engagement rate per post, saves and shares, video views and watch time
  • Paid social, where in scope: spend, click-through rate and cost per lead from Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Follower growth: reported, but last, because it predicts little on its own
  • Next month: what worked, what did not, and the tests planned

For a live view, we can build a Looker Studio dashboard in the client’s own Google account, styled in your branding. On request, each report comes with an internal note for you only. If website tracking is missing, we set up events in Google Tag Manager first.

Hours and communication

White label social media marketing agency in India: time zones and communication

As a white label social media marketing agency in India, Digital Magma works Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm India Standard Time. IST is UTC+5:30 and never changes for daylight saving, so only your side of the table moves.

Our 9 am–9 pm IST day converted from UTC offsets. Hours after midnight fall on the evening before your working day.

Sydney and Melbourne2:30 pm to 2:30 am (AEDT)1:30 pm to 1:30 am (AEST)

Scheduled posts go out at the client’s local time whatever our hours. Our hours matter for live work: drafting, changes, replies and calls.

Calls fit a US morning, most of a UK working day and an Australian afternoon. Each partner has one named account manager, and you pick the channel: email, video calls, phone or WhatsApp. Most work runs in writing: brief us at the end of your day and find drafts waiting in the morning.

Spelling and public holidays follow each client’s market, so a UK brand never posts a Thanksgiving greeting. Questions before you start? Contact us.

Disclosure rules

White label social media compliance: influencer disclosure rules in the US, UK and India

White label social media work that touches creators, gifted products or affiliate codes falls under advertising rules in every market your client sells in. This is a practical summary from the regulators’ own pages, not legal advice.

United States · FTC

Disclose the material connection, in the content

The Federal Trade Commission says that if enforcement is needed, its focus “usually will be on advertisers or their ad agencies and public relations firms”. It adds that handing a promotion to an outside company does not remove the advertiser’s responsibility (FTC, Endorsement Guides: What People Are Asking).

Its Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers (November 2019) asks for plain words such as “ad” or “sponsored” placed with the endorsement: on the image or in the video, never only behind “more” or on a profile page. It warns against “sp” or “collab” and says a platform’s own disclosure tool may not be enough.

United Kingdom · ASA and CAP

An “Ad” label, upfront

Rule 2.1 of the CAP Code says marketing communications “must be obviously identifiable as such”. The ASA’s advice on recognising ads in social media and influencer marketing expects a prominent “Ad” label at the start, visible before anyone clicks.

The same page advises against “sponsored”, treats “gifted” or “in association with” as unlikely to be clear enough, says an @-tag of the brand alone is not sufficient, and counts affiliate links and codes as advertising. Instagram’s paid partnership label may be enough if it is clear and upfront, but if in doubt, add “Ad”. Brands and influencers share the responsibility.

India · ASCI

Label every promoted post

The Advertising Standards Council of India issued final guidelines for influencer advertising on 27 May 2021, applying to posts published from 14 June 2021, and they make labelling of promotional content mandatory (ASCI press release).

The guidelines define a material connection broadly: money, free products even when received unsolicited, discounts, gifts, trips or hotel stays, and family or employment ties. ASCI’s influencer resource asks brands and influencers to disclose these connections. This matters if your client sells to India or works with India-based creators.

For a white-label partner the point is simple: under the FTC’s wording the agency side of a campaign is in scope, so disclosure checks belong inside the workflow.

Digital Magma writes the disclosure rule for the client’s market into every creator brief, checks each creator or UGC post for the label before scheduling, and flags gaps to you. Borderline cases belong to you and the client’s legal adviser.

One UK change is in progress: the ASA says its influencer guide will be updated for the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, though the advice remains broadly correct.

Expectations

White label social media results: what the data says about organic reach

White label social media marketing should be sold on outcomes, not likes, because organic engagement has been falling on every major platform. Rival IQ’s 2025 benchmark report puts numbers on the decline.

Year-on-year change in median engagement rate per post

Facebook −36%across industries
Instagram −16%across industries
TikTok −34%across industries
X −48%the steepest fall

Source: Rival IQ, 2025 Social Media Industry Benchmark Report, published February 2025.

First, promise the client things you can measure and influence: website clicks, enquiries, the quality of the community, a steady presence that makes ads cheaper to run. A promise of follower counts is a promise about an algorithm you do not control.

Second, plan paid support for the moments that matter. Organic posts that earn saves and shares are the best candidates for that budget.

Third, follow the format data. The same Rival IQ report found that carousels out-performed Reels on Instagram engagement in that year. We test formats per brand rather than assuming video always wins, and we reuse the posts that work.

Social search matters too. People search inside Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, so captions and on-screen text carry the words buyers use. If the client also needs Google traffic, our SEO services team works from the same keyword list.

Tools

White label social media tools: what we work in

Digital Magma runs white label social media work in the platforms’ own business tools plus Google’s measurement stack, so your agency does not need extra seats for the work we deliver.

Meta Business Suite and YouTube Studio handle publishing and native insights. Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager run paid social. Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager tie social traffic to enquiries, and Looker Studio turns it into a branded dashboard.

If your agency already pays for a scheduling platform, we work inside it. Client data stays in the client’s own accounts.

Proof

White label social media proof: results and reviews, labelled honestly

The white label social media results we can publish come from direct engagements, because partner results belong to partners. Digital Magma’s founder led all three projects below, and each card says what kind of work it was.

Pricing

White label social media pricing: what shapes a quote and how agencies resell

White label social media pricing at Digital Magma is a custom quote per client brand. We do not publish a partner rate card, because two LinkedIn posts a week for a law firm and daily Reels for a fashion label are not the same job.

Pricing modelWhat it coversWhen it fits
Monthly plan per brandStrategy, content, scheduling and a report for set platformsOngoing social you resell as a retainer
Content onlyCaptions, designs and edits delivered to you, and you postAgencies that want to keep publishing in-house
Community management add-onMonitoring and replies from the answer bank in our hoursBrands with steady comment volume
Paid social managementCampaign build, testing and reporting, quoted separately from ad spendLaunches, lead generation, retargeting

What moves a quote

  • Number of platforms
  • Posts and videos per month
  • Original design versus adapting the client’s templates
  • Video editing load and whether footage exists
  • Community management scope
  • Paid social, and how many campaigns run at once
  • Report depth and dashboard needs
  • How many approval layers sit between draft and post

How agencies price the resale

Your client price should cover the partner cost, your account-management hours and a margin. The hours are what agencies forget: a client who wants weekly calls costs more to serve.

Put change-request terms in your client contract too. “Can we swap this week’s posts for something about our new hire?” is a fair ask once, and a scope problem when it happens every week.

Send one client brand through the partner form and Digital Magma will reply with a custom quote for white label social media marketing on that brand.

How your service quote is scoped

₹40,000 is our minimum paid engagement, not a fixed price for every service or a promise that every deliverable is included. For this service, the quote depends on channels, monthly content volume, reels or video production, community management and paid-social support.

Recurring work is quoted per month; a standalone audit, build or production project is quoted separately. Your proposal confirms deliverables, quantities, timelines, revisions, applicable taxes and third-party costs before work begins. Larger programmes are custom quoted with no upper price limit.

Compare

White label social media vs an in-house social media manager vs a freelancer

A white label social media partner suits agencies whose social revenue cannot yet keep a full-time hire busy, or whose clients need copy, design, video and analytics at once. An in-house manager wins when the volume is large and steady.

For a cost anchor, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a median annual wage of $78,760 (May 2025) for market research analysts and marketing specialists, the closest category it publishes for a social media manager. Benefits, software and your management time come on top.

Our verdict: hire in-house once social revenue keeps one person fully busy and clients need real-time replies. Use a partner before that point, or when the mix of skills matters more than the hours. Agencies that want specialists working only on their accounts can look at a dedicated team model, and our guide to hiring digital marketing experts covers embedded roles.

Choosing a partner

White label social media partner checklist: questions and red flags

Choose a white label social media marketing partner by asking how the work is produced, approved and protected, not by looking at a portfolio of pretty posts. These questions separate a delivery team from a reseller of templates.

Ask before you sign

  • Who writes, designs and edits for my brands, and where are they?
  • How does approval work, and can my client be a second approver?
  • Which hours do you cover for comments, in my time zone?
  • How do you get access without our client’s password?
  • How do you check creator and UGC disclosures for each market?
  • Who owns the design files and captions?
  • How are reports branded, and where could your name leak?
  • Can we start with one brand?

Red flags

  • Asks for the client’s owner login
  • Offers follower growth packages or engagement pods
  • The same templates across different brands
  • No escalation path for complaints
  • No plan for disclosure on creator content
  • Promises fixed reply times around the clock from one small team

Also check for brand leaks: no partner name in file metadata and no “managed by” credit on a client’s profile.

What to expect

White label social media timeline: your first 30, 60 and 90 days

The first month of white label social media marketing is mostly set-up and finding the voice. Months two and three are where testing starts to show which posts bring clicks and enquiries. The start date is set in each proposal.

Days 1–30

Set up

Terms, intake, access, profile audit, brand voice sheet, first calendar approved and live.

Days 31–60

Test

Formats, hooks and posting times tested. Answer bank refined from real comments. First full report.

Days 61–90

Focus

More of what drives clicks and enquiries, less of what does not. A quarterly plan ready for you to present.

Month 4 onward

Compound

Best posts reused and promoted, new formats tried, paid support added where organic has proved the message.

Common mistakes

White label social media mistakes agencies make, and how to avoid them

Most failed white label social media partnerships go wrong on the agency side before the first post. These six patterns come up again and again, and each has a cheap fix.

No brand voice sheet

Posts sound generic and the client says “this isn’t us”. Write the sheet in week one.

Selling six platforms on a small budget

Every feed looks half-alive. Sell two platforms done well.

Sharing passwords

It breaks two-factor sign-in and blurs who did what. Use partner access and page roles.

Reporting likes and followers only

The client stops seeing value. Lead with clicks and enquiries tracked in GA4.

No plan for US afternoons

Agree in writing who watches the feed when the partner is offline.

Skipping disclosure checks

An unlabelled creator post exposes your client and your agency. Check before scheduling.

Honest advice

White label social media marketing: when white label is not the right fit

White label social media marketing from India is the wrong choice in five situations, and Digital Magma would rather say so on the first call. Each card names a better option.

Real-time replies in US business hours

Restaurants, live events and social customer service need someone online in the afternoon. Instead: an in-house manager or a partner in the same time zone.

A founder’s personal voice

If only the founder can write it, nobody else can fake it for long. Instead: coaching plus light editing, or an in-house ghostwriter who sits with them.

Daily filming on location

Daily filming in the client’s city needs a local person. Instead: a local videographer, with us editing and scheduling.

TikTok-first brands

TikTok is blocked in India, so we do not manage it. Instead: a partner in a market where TikTok operates.

A budget for a few generic posts a month

Three stock-image posts a month rarely move anything. Instead: put the money into one strong channel, or into local SEO if the client is a local business.

People

FAQs

White label social media marketing: frequently asked questions

Short answers to what agency owners ask before buying white label social media marketing, from approvals and access to TikTok, disclosures and price.

What is white label social media marketing?

White label social media marketing is social media work done by a partner and sold by an agency under its own brand. The partner plans, writes, designs, schedules and reports. The agency keeps the client, approves the work and sets the price. Digital Magma delivers it from Noida, India, for agencies in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia.

What is the difference between white label social media services and white label software?

A white label service gives you people who produce the posts, replies and reports. White label software gives you a scheduling or reporting tool with your logo, and your team still does the work. Digital Magma sells the service, and can work inside a tool your agency already pays for.

Will my clients know I use Digital Magma?

Only if you tell them. Reports are unbranded or in your branding, access runs through your agency, and we never contact your client unless you ask.

Is white label social media marketing ethical?

It is ordinary subcontracting, used across marketing and design. It stays ethical when your agency remains accountable: you read and approve the work, stand behind its claims and make sure disclosures are correct. What is not ethical is reselling bought followers or engagement as results.

How much does white label social media management cost?

Digital Magma quotes per client brand. The main drivers are the number of platforms, posts and videos per month, original design versus templates, community management scope, paid social and report depth. Send one brand through the partner form for a custom quote.

How many posts does each client get per month?

The number is set per brand in the proposal. There is no published default, because the right volume depends on the platform, audience and budget.

Can my client and I approve posts before they go live?

Every post is approved before publishing. You approve the monthly calendar, then sensitive posts one by one, and your client can be added as a second approver. Revision rounds are agreed in the proposal.

Which platforms do you manage, and do you do TikTok?

Digital Magma manages Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Other networks are discussed per brand. We do not manage TikTok, because the app has been blocked in India since June 2020 and our team works from Noida.

Do you reply to comments and DMs?

Comment replies from an approved answer bank are available as part of a plan, Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm IST. That covers US nights and mornings but not US afternoons. Direct messages are handled only when the client wants it and an escalation path is in place.

How do you get access to my client’s accounts?

Through partner access in the client’s Meta business portfolio and role-based access on LinkedIn and YouTube. The client keeps ownership of every page and ad account.

Do you sign an NDA and agree not to contact our clients?

Digital Magma signs an NDA on request, before you share any client name, and has no contact with your client unless you ask. Non-solicitation terms and their length are agreed in the partner contract. Have your own lawyer review the final wording.

Can we start with one brand or a trial month?

Starting with one brand is what we recommend. Send its current profiles and we reply with a short audit, a 30-day plan and a custom quote.

Who handles FTC disclosures on sponsored posts?

The FTC says its focus usually falls on advertisers or their ad agencies and PR firms, so both your client and your agency have a stake. Digital Magma writes the disclosure rule into every creator brief and checks each creator or UGC post for a clear label before scheduling. Borderline cases go to you and the client’s legal adviser.

How do you measure success for social media?

Digital Magma leads with business results: website clicks and enquiries from social, tracked in GA4 with UTM parameters, plus leads from comments and messages. Reach, engagement and watch time come next.

Can you run paid social ads too?

Paid social is available as custom scope, in Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager: campaign build, audiences, retargeting, testing and reporting under your brand. The ad account stays with the client or your agency, and ad spend is billed separately from our fee.

Next step

White label social media partnership: start with one client brand

Digital Magma suggests starting small: send one client brand, its current profiles and what you promised the client. We reply with a short audit, a 30-day content plan and a custom partner quote. Want an NDA first? Say so and we sign it before you share the name.

  • One brand and links to its current profiles
  • An audit and 30-day plan you can judge against your own view
  • A custom partner quote for that brand

Digital Magma runs white label social media marketing on one rule: your client sees your brand, and you see every draft before anyone else does.
